Collective Worship in Schools - Getting it Right
Reflective, Child-Centred Professional Development for Modern School Communities
Collective worship sits at the intersection of education, safeguarding, inclusion, leadership and pupil experience. While daily collective worship remains a statutory expectation for many schools, the lived experience of pupils can vary significantly depending on how practice is planned, communicated and delivered.
This Signature programme from Three Landscapes Learning Studio has been designed to support schools, trusts and education professionals in developing thoughtful, lawful and inclusive approaches to collective worship through guided professional reflection and practical implementation support.
Rather than presenting collective worship as a simple compliance requirement, the course encourages participants to consider:
-
how worship may be experienced differently by pupils
-
how language, environment and delivery influence participation
-
how safeguarding and psychological safety intersect with collective worship practice
-
and how schools can create calm, respectful and invitational experiences while remaining within the legal framework.
